Farrow Walsh recruit their first Apprentice!

May 5, 2026

In an exciting move for Farrow Walsh, Apprentice Calum Bodell has recently joined the structural and civil engineering firm.

Studying at Leicester College for an NVQ Level 3 in the Built Environment, Calum spends 4 days a week working with the Farrow Walsh team and one day studying at college.

Since starting with the company, Calum says he has had the opportunity to work on a vast array of projects both on the civil side of the business and also structural. He said:

“I did not think I would have received the breadth of training and opportunities that are being given to me here. Every day is different and I am learning so much.”

Chris Farrow, Managing Director plans to take on more Apprentices this year and is already liaising with local colleges to look at potential applicants.

As Chris explained:

“The Company has grown significantly in the last two years and we are keen to recruit local talent to work in our experienced team, whether these are Apprentices or Graduate trainees. We are actively recruiting at present and visiting a number of Careers Fairs to raise our profile.”
