Farrow Walsh Supports Delivery of Lincoln City FC's New IMPS Fan Zone

August 10, 2026

Farrow Walsh is providing our structural engineering expertise for the new IMPS Fan Zone at Lincoln City FC's LNER Stadium, including steel frame and foundation design alongside ongoing site support.

Farrow Walsh is pleased to be supporting the delivery of the new IMPS Fan Zone at Lincoln City FC's LNER Stadium, providing structural engineering services as part of the wider Imps Territory development.

Working alongside Polkey Collins Associates, Gen2 Energy and Fytche-Taylor Planning, our team has been responsible for the full steel frame design and foundation design for the proposed two-storey fan zone structure, located to the rear of the Rilmac Stand (South).

Our appointment also included undertaking a non-intrusive visual inspection of the existing structure to assess its form of construction and inform the proposed engineering design. This early-stage assessment has helped ensure the new works integrate effectively with the existing stadium infrastructure while supporting a safe and efficient construction process.

As construction progresses, Farrow Walsh continues to provide ongoing site support, working closely with the wider project team to ensure the structural elements are delivered in accordance with the design intent and to assist with any engineering requirements that arise during the build.

The IMPS Fan Zone forms an important part of Lincoln City's wider vision to enhance facilities at the LNER Stadium, creating a vibrant destination where supporters can gather before and after matches. Designed to improve the overall matchday experience, the new facility will strengthen the connection between the football club and its local community while providing a modern, welcoming space for fans.

With the project scheduled for completion ahead of Lincoln City's opening home fixture of the new season against Portsmouth, we look forward to seeing the finished development become a key feature of the stadium and an exciting addition for supporters.

Farrow Walsh is proud to contribute to projects that combine high-quality structural engineering with lasting community benefit, and we look forward to seeing the IMPS Fan Zone welcomed by Lincoln City supporters.
