Preserving Tamworth's Heritage at Brewery House

Farrow Walsh is pleased to be supporting the refurbishment and conversion of Brewery House, a Grade II-listed building on Lady Bank in the heart of Tamworth.

Occupying a prominent position directly opposite Tamworth Castle and close to the River Anker, Brewery House forms part of an area rich in history and architectural character. Its setting on Lady Bank, alongside one of the town's best-known historic landmarks, adds further significance to the sensitive regeneration of the building.

The historic building is set to be transformed into ten affordable apartments across two floors, giving Brewery House a new purpose while retaining the character and heritage that make it an important part of its surroundings.

The project represents an opportunity to secure the long-term future of an existing heritage asset through sensitive refurbishment and reuse. Working with historic buildings requires careful consideration of the existing structure alongside the requirements of its proposed new use, ensuring that necessary changes are approached with respect for the original building.

Our approach will help enable Brewery House to accommodate its new residential use while preserving the integrity of the Grade II-listed structure and supporting the building's successful transition into its next chapter.
