Progress Report: Tipton

May 11, 2026

Farrow Walsh Ltd recently visited the Tipton site to review progress on the 55-unit social housing scheme being delivered in partnership with Torsion Construction and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

Works on site are progressing well, with site clearance, drainage excavations, foundation pours and mine shaft capping currently underway. These early stages are critical to enabling the safe and efficient delivery of the development, particularly given the complex ground conditions.

The scheme comprises two four-storey apartment blocks, incorporating specialist ground improvement works alongside sustainable modern methods of construction. The approach reflects a strong focus on quality, buildability and long-term performance, ensuring the development meets both technical requirements and community needs.

Farrow Walsh is proud to be part of a highly collaborative project team delivering a challenging yet rewarding scheme that will make a meaningful contribution to local social housing provision and placemaking within the Tipton community. We look forward to sharing further updates as the project continues to progress.
